Carter: Hey guys. Carter here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Konig self-tensioning tire chains for our 2012 Kia Soul with tire size 205/55-16. The most notable feature of these tire chains is by far the self-tensioning mechanism. Now unlike other tire chains, you have to make continual adjustments, whereas after you get done installing, you need to pull forward, drive around the block and then make further adjustments. We're not going to have to do that with these Konig chains because this self-tensioning mechanism is going to take all the hassle out of that because it does this for us. more

The Titan cable tire chains are made of a case hardened steel, so your know they're going to be very durable, and they're also going to resist rust and corrosion. Now these are class S compatible, meaning they are designed for vehicles with limited wheel well clearance, like our Kia Soul here.Now these can be installed on both the front and the rear of the vehicle. However, since our Kia Soul is a front wheel drive vehicle, we will be installing these on the front of the vehicle.As you can see here, we have these very low profile rulers. more

Today on our 2017 Kia Soul we're going to be test fitting the Glacier Square-Link Snow Tire Chains, part number PWPLC1138. Today we're working with tire size 215/55/R17. Now if your chains don't fit your tire, double check the size and go see our fit guide. These are low carbon steel chains with these square links that give excellent traction on both snow and ice. They're SAE Class S chains, meaning they work well with vehicles with limited wheel well clearance. Now, these do work with both front and rear wheel drive vehicles and these are intended for highway use only, no off roading applications. Also when you're finished it has this convenient carrying box here. You put them back in there, put them in the back of your vehicle and they're ready to go for the next time. more

Today on our 2017 Kia Soul, we're going to be test fitting the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number PW1038. Now, today we're working with tire size 215/55R17. If these chains don't fit this tire, double check the size, and then go to our Fit Guide. These chains are made from low-carbon steel, which makes them nice and durable. They have these rollers at the top, which provide excellent traction in snow. They are Department of Transportation approved in all states, and these are designed for SAE Class S tires or vehicles with limited wheel well clearance. These are quick and easy to install, they can work with either front or rear wheel drives, and once you're finished using them, they come with this convenient tote bag here, so you can put them in there, put them in the vehicle for the next time they need to be used. Right now, I have the chains laid out on the ground to make sure we have all the kinks worked out of them. more

We're going to be working with the front tires on our Kia Soul because our Kia Soul is front-wheel drive.
